How to Install Mininet in Ubuntu

1. Download and update Ubuntu software package

   Initially execute the following commands to update the software packages.
   $ sudo apt-get update
   $ sudo apt-get upgrade
   $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
   The above commands used to update the installed software package into updated supported version

2. Install required software

   Install the required Git software package by using the command, sudo apt-get install git.The git package used to download the needed package into your home drive location.

3. Downloads mininet source code

   By using the git tool we download the Mininet 2.2.0 source code, by using the command,
   git clone git://github.com/mininet/mininet
   after download , we need to extract the package from the .tar format into normal folder.

4. Installs mininet

   Check the latest available beta version and install the mininet package.by using the command , git checkout -b 2.2.0b3

5. Mininet command

   install the mininet , by using the following command ~/mininet/util/install.sh -a

6. Successfully installed message

   The latest beta version to install the mininet package by using following the command to get the successful installed message from mininet.

7. Check the installed status

   After successful installation, we check the installation status, the configuration of 1- controller ,2- switch and 2- host is one of the default example in the mininet package.
