How to Use Veins in Omnet++

Follow from Step 1 to Step 13 in order to create Omnet++ using Simulation projects. Quick guide to create Omnet++ simulation. Reach us , if you want an customize Omnet++ simulation projects works for scholars.

  1. Download the omnet++ package

    Download the omnet++ package from the following url, in the site there multiple verion of the omnet++ is listed. Select your needed version of omnet++, here we select the eversion omnet++ 4.6 , after that click the download button , which is displayed in the below of selected version

  2. Open the terminal/ mingwenv window

    Open the mingwenv window. By double click mingwenv window from the omnet++ installed location.Open the terminal/ mingwenv window

  3. Execute the command

    In the mingwenv command window ,
    Execute the command -> . setenv
    Execute the command -> ./configure
    Execute the command -> make
    Execute the command -> omnetppExecute the command

  4. Select the workspace

    Select the stored workspace, with full location, to select the workspace , use the browse button and select the location and press ok button or type the full location . , like the below exampleSelect the workspace

  5. Workspace imported packages

    View the workspace with imported packagesWorkspace imported packages

  6. Main configuration file

    Main configuration file, with the file extension .iniMain configuration file

  7. Main Network configuration file

    Source code for the networking file with the file extension .nedMain Network configuration file

  8. Source code Network file

    Source code for the networking file with the file extension .nedSource code Network file

  9. Clean Local and execute the simulation

    For perform the build process,
    First right click on the package folder name and select the clean local option from the list , like the below exampleClean Local and execute the simulation

  10. Clean Project Option

    Next right click on the package folder name and select the clean project option from the list , like the below exampleClean Project Option

  11. Build project option

    Next right click on the package folder name and select the Build project option from the list , like the below exampleBuild project option

  12. Sumo mingwenv window

    Start the sumo , execute the command sumo-launchd.py -vv -c /c/sumo-0.19.0/bin/sumo.exe in mingwenv windowSumo mingwenv window

  13. Run the Omnet++ Simulation

    Next right click on the package folder name and select the RunAs->omnet++ simulation option from the list , like the below exampleRun the Omnet++ Simulation
