1. Open the instance version of ns-3

   In releases starting with ns-3.28.1, an option is available in Waf to work around these issues. The option disables the inclusion of the ‘-Werror’ flag to g++ and clang++. The option is ‘–disable-werror’ and must be used at configure time; e.g.:
   ./waf configure –disable-werror –enable-examples –enable-tests

2. Configure and build

   Perform the process of simulation configuration and build by use the commands ./waf configure –build-profile=debug –out=build/debug and ./waf build

3. Run Sample program/script

   We typically run scripts under the control of Waf. This allows the build system to ensure that the shared library paths are set correctly and that the libraries are available at run time.

4. NS-3 sample program/script Result

   To run a program, simply use the –run option in Waf. run the sample hello world ns3 project or script by use the command
   $ ./waf –run hello-simulator
