Performance Analysis of Intelligent Electronic Device Expansion in IEC 61850 Substation Networks
Implementation plan:
————————–
Step 1: Initially, we will construct a IEC61850-based substation network with 50 IOTNodes, HSR and PRP configurations.
Step 2: Next, we Set up end to end delay Sampled Values (SV) used for protection and control purposes.
Step 3: Next, we Configure GOOSE messages for event-driven communication between IEDs in the substation.
Step 4: Next, we Analyze the end-to-end delay data based on network conditions.
Step 5: Finally, we plot performance metrics such as:
5.1: Number of IOTNodes vs. End-to-End Delay (ms)
5.2: Number of IOTNodes vs. Packet Delivery Ratio (%)
5.3: Number of IOTNodes vs. Throughput (Mbps)
Software requirements:
—————————–
1} Development tool: Omnet++ 4.6
2) Development OS : Windows 11
