Performance Analysis of Hybrid CAN Ethernet Gateway for ADAS Applications

Implementation plan:

Step 1: Initially, we will construct a CAN Network with 50 CAN Sensor nodes , 6 Ethernet Switches and 2 Ethernet Gateways and 1 Central Server.

Step 2: Then, we prioritize the communication between the nodes using high/low priority traffic based on message criticality.

Step 3: Next, we simulate the network for end-to-end communication to Validate CAN bus arbitration and Ethernet backbone latency.

Step 4: Next, we use Data Translation and Timestamping to extract Message ID, Payload and Timestamp values from gateway nodes.

Step 5: Next, we Integrate LKA-specific traffic patterns and prioritization mechanisms to ensure delivery time of LKA control data.

Step 6: Finally, we plot performance for the following metrics:

6.1 :Number of Sensor Nodes vs. Latency (ms)

6.2: Number of Sensor Nodes vs. Throughput (Mbps)

6.3: Number of Sensor Nodes vs. Jitter (ms)

6.4: Number of Sensor Nodes vs. Packet Delivery Ratio (%)
