In general, our research professionals have presented this article namely “why should you run Mininet only inside a virtual machine” with all the required keynotes about significance of the executing Mininet simulation in virtual machine. Initially, we have highlighted the reason for running Mininet inside in the virtual machine.
Running Mininet inside the virtual machine permits to share and collaborate on network topologies and analyse the environment because VM is capable to import and export easily. The Linux operating system is used for the installation and utilization of Mininet.
Install Mininet in Virtual Machine
When Ubuntu ISO file is installed into the virtual machine, then only we are capable to install the Mininet in virtual machine through the execution of below mentioned commands in the Ubuntu terminal.
cd /home/research/mininet/util
sudo ./install.sh -a
Run Mininet in Virtual Machine
Following that, we have to run the Mininet simulation in virtual machine through the execution of below mentioned commands into the Ubuntu terminal.
cd /home/research/mininet/Sample_Topology
sudo python main.py
