How to Run AODV in NS2

Time needed: 5 minutes

1. System requirements

   For install the NS-2.35 , we need the following minimum system requirements.
   1)OS : ubuntu-14.04 LTS(32 bit)
   2)RAM :minimum 2GB
   3)Processor: 2.5 GHz and above

2. Source code for main file

   Store the main source file with the filename without any whitespaces, and also stored in the folder name without any whitespaces
   in the main file, we need to specify the routing protocol AODV , with the routinh variable rp

3. Node configuration

   Next, during the node configuration, we call the routing variable rp, with following source code,
   $ns_ node-config -adhocRouting $val(rp)

4. Open the terminal and verify the installed package

   Initially,Next open the terminal by press ctrl+alt+T buttons or search from the installed software list.

5. Change the location

   Change the location by using the command cd

6. Execute the main file

   Execute the main file : by using the command ns

7. Get the simulation result

   Execute the main file : by using the command ns to get the simulation result successfully
