How to Use NS2

1. System requirements

   For install the NS-2.35 , we need the following minimum system requirements.
   1)OS : ubuntu-14.04 LTS(32 bit)
   2)RAM :minimum 2GB
   3)Processor: 2.5 GHz and above

2. Source code for main file

   The source code for main file , the main contains the code for the network configuration , also node configurations, during the network configuration we specify the protocol details, channel details and also propagation details. And also in the node configuration , specify the number of node, node initial location and also moving location and moving speed.

3. Open the terminal and verify the installed package

   Initially,Next open the terminal by press ctrl+alt+T buttons or search from the installed software list.

4. Change the project location

   Change the project location , all source files are stored in the project folder location.

5. Execute/run the main tcl file

   To perform the process of Execute/run the main tcl file by using the command sudo ./ns main.tcl
   In the above command the ns is the keyword to call the network simulator process , the main id the file name and also the tcl is the file extension

6. Get the simulation

   By using this process to execute the network simulator to get the simulation successfully.

7. Start the simulation

   Press the play button to start the simulation
