How to Install NS2 in Windows 8 64-Bit

1. Download the ns2

   We can download the standalone NS2 Simulator package, from the following url,

   After download the package ,Extract the downloaded file and into our computer, next Goto NS folder.

2. Open the ns-2 home page

   In address bar type “cmd” and hit ENTER to open command prompt.
   or You can Open Command promt and change directory to the NS Folder.

3. Execute/run the sample code

   Type “ns ns-simple.tcl” . This will start NAM (NETWORK ANIMATOR). By using the commad ns [networksimulator]

4. Play the simulation

   After execute the main sample tcl file , we can get the NAM (NETWORK ANIMATOR). Window, press the play button in the window to Play the animation.
