How to Install Nam in NS2 Ubuntu

1. System requirements

   For install the NS-2.35 , we need the following minimum system requirements.
   1)OS : ubuntu-14.04 LTS(32 bit)
   2)RAM :minimum 2GB
   3)Processor: 2.5 GHz and above

2. Open the terminal and verify the installed package

   Initially,Next open the terminal by press ctrl+alt+T buttons or search from the installed software list.

3. Download and install nam

   We can download the nam package , which is have the file extension with .deb, from the following url

4. Execute the command

   After download the package, we need to execute the command in the terminal
   sudo dpkg –install nam_1.15-10_i386.deb

5. Source code for main file

   By using the source code for main file in ns2 program

6. Change the location

   Change the location by using the command cd

7. Execute/run the main tcl file : using the commnad ns

   To perform the process of Execute/run the main tcl file by using the command sudo ./ns main.tcl
   in the above command the ns is the keyword to call the network simulator process , the main id the file name and also the tcl is the file extension

8. Open the trace file

   The main id the file name and also the tcl is the file extension to open the NAM console to get the trace file

9. Get the simulation

   In this NAM console process to get the trace file to execute the command to get the simulation successfully.
